Story

Russia, May 1918. In the midst of a civil war, the Bolsheviks have recently seized power. Tsar Nicholas II has abdicated the throne and has been placed under house arrest in Alexander Palace. You're a diplomat sent to negotiate with the new regime, but instead are suspected of being a spy. Thrown into prison, you face a grim fate. But one night, you have a nightmare - a gruesome scene of a dark, dingy basement covered in blood, with walls covered in bullet holes. Seeing dead bodies of young women and men, you realise it's the Tsar's family. Waking in a cold sweat, you make a decision. When the morning guard comes to check on you, you'll kill him, take his gun and make your escape. The Tsar needs you.

Gameplay

Bolsheviktion 3D is written from the ground up in pure C using a reimagined and enhanced implementation of John Carmack's original raycasting method with full software rendering.

Battle your way through nine distinct locations to discover the whereabouts of the Tsar, fighting through the Bolsheviks' most brutal battalions. Four unique enemy types and two bosses to conquer. Collect treasure and rare royal treasure. Find secret pushwalls containing exotic and useful items for combat.

Difficulty Modes

Give Me a Go, Dad, Don't Be So Tough, Let's Go Boys, and for the insane gamer - BOLSHEVIKTOR! (not even remotely fair).
