Chinomikon

Chinomikon is an adventure-learning game about a Hero who arrives in China. The Hero wants to earn money by teaching English, but due to unexpected events, starts fighting fearsome monsters for Chinomikon pages - a book of great value.

To survive, the Hero must complete challenges and acquire 34 Chinomikon pages.

Gameplay

RPG maker battle system with a slightly different approach:

1. Search certain locations for items - words connected to that location. Each item has pinyin (romanization) and translation.
2. After searching all possible items, gain access to the battle zone's portal for that location.
3. During fights, use the right item on monsters. Monsters display Chinese characters above them.
4. Monsters may drop key items needed to continue the story and learning process.

During multiple fights, you remember Chinese characters and their translations.
