Database Detective: Minor Crimes Division

Overview

There's been a backlog of unsolved cases piling up in the Minor Crimes Division of the Los Zorangeles Police Department. As a Database Detective, you'll analyze clues and manipulate data using SQL to solve crimes ranging from littering to serious offenses like not checking out of a hotel after check-out time.

Accessibility

This role is designed for those without SQL experience. Each Database Detective receives an introductory textbook (under 20 pages) explaining everything needed to solve cases. A comprehensive error messaging system guides you when queries go wrong, and you're assigned an assistant to answer questions about cases or SQL.

Gameplay

Beyond SQL manipulation, you'll piece together evidence and clues like a real detective. As your career progresses, you'll sleuth through the internet and solve cases independently.
