"Great Filter" is a 2D, top-down view, strategy game with original mechanics. The game consists of 46 levels, each taking approximately 30-60 seconds to clear.
The goal is to get keys on the left road within the time limit. This requires four steps:
Step 1: Mine Operations Players operate two characters with different abilities: the white character moves quickly but works slowly, the black character moves slowly but works quickly. Only one character can move at a time, but the other can continue working. Mines scattered across the level show work duration as numbers. Each mine produces one diamond once, then disappears.
Step 2: Diamond Collection When a character finishes working on a mine, it collects a diamond matching the mine's color.
Step 3: Brick Generation Characters send diamonds to the "little universe" to generate bricks on the left road. Red, green, or purple diamonds create 1x2 vertical bricks; yellow or blue create 2x1 horizontal bricks. Bricks are placed in columns based on color: red in column 1, green in column 2, purple in column 3, yellow in columns 1-2, blue in columns 2-3. Existing bricks support later-generated bricks from below.
Step 4: Level Completion The level completes when any brick overlaps a key. Some levels contain stars that add 5 seconds to the time limit when overlapped, and black holes that destroy bricks on contact.
Success requires planning the sequence of brick placement (which determines the order characters send diamonds) and allocating characters efficiently - assigning faraway mines to the fast-moving character and long-duration mines to the fast-working character.
