Mystery Boxes is a codebreaking puzzle game. Send 4-digit signals to a mysterious artifact, which will respond with another sequence. Look for patterns in the responses to identify the rules, then use this information to produce the target response.
Help intrepid explorer Maya Robinson investigate a set of ancient cube-like artifacts buried deep in the jungle. Mystery Boxes are strange, ancient artifacts that transform numbers according to their individual rules. Your goal is to figure out these rules and use them to trigger a specific transformation that will unlock the box.
When you send a 4-digit signal to the Mystery Box, it will transform it according to a set of secret rules. For example, sending 1234 to the box might give you 8642, while sending 2244 gives you 8844. Through experimentation and deduction, you can figure out the rules - in this case, double each digit, then flip the number backwards.
Each box has multiple rules. The box takes the result of the first rule and applies a second rule to it. As you progress, boxes will have more rules of increasing complexity.
Maya is happy to assist you as you solve the puzzles. She'll give you assistance with more challenging rules, suggest possible solutions, and offer tips and advice.
