This is a dystopian soft sci-fi game. One day, you and your family received a flyer from the community to watch a movie for free. Your family has already set off, and you arrived later - but you find out that they are not there. After that, you discover the untold secrets of the medium of "video".
▸ The full multiplayer experience takes about 90 minutes, so if the game length doesn't satisfy you, I'll understand if you get a refund.
▸ Stop for some time if possible, you're welcome to think and deconstruct the design of it, like watching an interesting film
▸ Pay attention to the fragmented narrative like reading a novel
▸ Feel free to control the pace of the experience as you would an art gallery
▸ It's not surprising what happens here. If you find something suspicious, maybe it's not triggering a bug, but it's inherently part of the game.
"A mysterious movie theater flyer...... A man who hasn't been home for a long time...... Surprising secrets about the video medium...... How extraterrestrial and cosmic life flows...... It's a love letter to the art of cinema, a chilling reflection. ”
Prism: Master Tape takes you deep into a place that sits on the edge of reality and transcends conventional perception. As you follow in the footsteps of the protagonist as they explore objects and move forward, "they" always call you: "No. 237 ......" - and thus begins this extraordinary adventure in an interactive clicker game with a side-scrolling third-person object perspective and a first-person subject perspective.
Prism: Master Tape somewhat eschews traditional gameplay in favor of a purely story-driven experience, where you can't save and read files, as if you were going to the cinema to watch a movie. Blends eerie environments, white noise, poetry, and narrated texts to weave a story with a novel perspective on the flow of life in the universe.
Many of the images here are a tribute to the art of cinema, and every corner hides secrets waiting to be discovered. The player is not only solving the puzzle, but also experiencing a reflection: thinking about the delicate relationship between human and media development, reality and illusion. When all the clues come together into a complete picture, you will revisit your definition of "real" and find your own way out.
Remember, don't overlook a movie that may "not exist". And you may be part of the movie. Give yourself time to watch and perform one of these "movies".
