The player takes over the role of Jack Hammer or more specifically his truck either in a 3rd-person- or cockpit-view. The truck has the ability to transform itself into to two configurations: combat mode and race mode. In race mode the truck has access to it's boosters, allowing it to speed up fast. Jack Hammer is a truck driver with a problem. A guy named Jorge planted a bomb in his head and forces him to work for the Agency which requires him to kill people. Granted, the guys he kills aren't angels themselves but still Jack isn't very fond of working for Jorge so he tries to find a way to get back to him.
