The Depths of Despair is a dark fantasy action RPG that focuses on adventure.

Combines souls-like combat with MMO progression and skills.

Even though the game has sliding, jumping and many skills, it is still a slower-paced, classic Souls-like.

CONTENT

**GAME MODES **

• NORMAL

• JOURNEYMAN

Death = respawn at hub area.

• SOFTCORE

Death = you'll lose all your items and respawn at hub area.

• HARCORE

Death = Delete

• CUSTOM

This is basically a built in randomizer mod. Choose custom settings from a selection.

IN GAME ACTIVITIES

• MINING & GATHERING

Smash rocks and gather herbs throughout the world while traveling.

• SMITHING

Use the ores you collect from mining to upgrade all your gear, gaining experience for it. Upgrading increases the current stats and there is no level cap.

• ENCHANTING

You have a rare chance to obtain various gems while mining. These gems can be used to enchant your gear with new stats.

• BUTCHER

Collect meat from monsters and use the herbs from gathering. These ingredients can be used to prepare meals at the butcher to gain temporary and permanent stats.

• GAMEPLAY

The game has 12 zones, 12 boss battles and 156 different monsters. ~ 300 skills and perks, and you can combine any skill tree with each other.

• STORY

You play as a man who has lost everything and stands on the brink of becoming a demon. The only thing keeping you going is the hope of saving your daughter and that same hope is what preserves your humanity.

Along the way, you encounter an angel who needs your help to find and save her sister. The world around you is grim and unforgiving, steeped in despair.

• NOTES

I designed the game to be played with mouse & keyboard and I highly recommend doing so. You can cast spells at mouse location and the UI navigation is much easier.
