Tycoon of transport, 500 years ago, with real historical events. Build trade routes, boost cities and mines, invest in real companies, lend money to emperors, invest in voyages.
A narrative-heavy single player strategy about the richest man in history.
To deliver goods, you need to set up trade routes. Different routes have different delivery times and different dangers. Hire carriage guards or bribe brigands. Choice is yours.
Invest in real mines and real companies of the 14th and 15th centuries. Many of them still exist today!
Financing kings in the Renaissance period was not just OK; it was considered highly prestigious. Finance famous lineages, but don't forget to choose sufficient collateral, like access to a state treasury.
Become the only supplier of metals and weapons.
Once you hold the entire copper supply, anyone who wants to start a war has to trade with you!
The game is as historically accurate as it can be. React to events to earn money or prestige. But beware! Your actions have unexpected consequences... buying a mine may lead to a cave-in, or a miner revolt, or finding a rich gold vein.
Jakob Fugger was the richest person in history. He owned mines, smelters, organized trade routes, invested in voyages, spice imports from India, but he also invested in wars, bribed monarchs, and financed elections of kings. In the game, time is passing and events appear as they really happened. The player has various choices for how to react to them. Players can invest even in opportunities in which Fugger didn't. How much money would you earn?
