Yomp for Zhi is a difficult turn-based RPG about a journey across Holtoss (a region riddled with crime and dangerous creatures). The unlikely heroes have a limited amount of days to rescue people who are going to be killed (including the titular Zhi).

- 6 unlockable difficulties and 2 unlockable bonus modes.
- Most enemies can become temporary allies (referred to as Homies).
- Dozens of enemy factions so enemies can often be seen attacking each other.
- Weather conditions (including fog that can obscure the identities of enemies)
- Under certain circumstances, enemies can return for revenge if they aren't killed.
- The overworld often has an overwhelming amount of choice (hunting, shopping, selling, stealing, gambling, combining items, working, panhandling, fishing, etc.)
Things to note:
- A mouse is highly recommended over using a laptop touchpad.
- No controller support.
- A successful run usually takes around 1-4 hours. There's a "Save & Quit" feature so you can resume a run later, but loading it will discard the saved run.
