July 23 Releases: Splatoon Raiders Leads a Busy Thursday
Nintendo's single-player shooter and a Halo: Combat Evolved remake headline the day's lineup
A stacked Thursday brings a Switch 2 exclusive from Nintendo, a modernized Halo remake landing on three platforms, and a pair of ambitious indies. Here's everything hitting shelves on July 23.
Splatoon Raiders#
Nintendo EPD Production Group No. 5 takes the series in a new direction with Splatoon Raiders, a single-player focused action shooter for Switch 2. You play as a mechanic working alongside Deep Cut, the swashbuckling musical trio, as you venture into the mysterious Spirhalite Islands to splat enemies and hunt for treasure.
This is a notable shift for a franchise built around multiplayer turf wars, leaning into adventure and exploration instead. If you've wanted more from the Splatoon universe than ranked matches, this is the one to watch.
Halo: Campaign Evolved - Premium Edition#
Halo Studios delivers a faithful yet modernized remake of the campaign that started it all. Halo: Campaign Evolved rebuilds Combat Evolved's story with high-definition visuals, updated cinematics, and refined controls. The headline addition is a brand-new three-mission adventure featuring the Master Chief and Sgt. Johnson.
Premium Edition owners get early access starting today on Xbox Series, PC, and PS5, with the full game launching July 28. This is a rare chance for PlayStation players to experience the origin of the Halo saga.
Condemned: Nightfall#
ShadowRealm Games brings a survival horror mix of PvE and PvP set in a noir futuristic NYC. Team up with up to two others or go solo, then search a creature-filled semi open-world map for arcane clues that lead to a lucrative bounty. With permadeath consequences in play, only the best hunters make it out. A tense, high-stakes pick for PC players who like their horror competitive.
Dinoblade#
Team Spino LLC swings for something different with Dinoblade, an action RPG set in a prehistoric world reshaped by a cataclysmic event. You play as a young Spinosaurus wielding a colossal great sword, confronting rival dinosaurs (some armed with weapons of their own) in a fight to stop a looming extinction. A dinosaur with a greatsword is a strong enough hook on its own; PC players can find out how it plays today.
